Tammi Lyn Guy, of Salem, suffered extensive injuries from being hit by a vehicle in the area of Jefferson Avenue and Wilson Street in Salem on Sunday, April 9, according to the Salem Police Department.

Guy was transported to North Shore Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

In addition to leaving behind her four children, Alahna, Cody, Amaya, and Ava, Guy is survived by her partner, Shawn Bryer, according to a GoFundMe set up for her family. Bryer and Guy were also the primary caretakers for Guy's sister Tara, who suffers from multiple sclerosis.

"Our family has been incredibly overwhelmed with people's words of support and desire to help Tammi's family," wrote Erin Leonard, who organized the GoFundMe for Guy's family.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to support the future endeavors of Tammi's children, partner, and sister, the campaign description reads.

The driver of the vehicle stayed on the scene, police say. The car crash is currently under investigation.
